This week we have reviews of last weeks matches and Pikey Pete’s predictions as well as a venue review of The Vinyl Bar by Jeff from Charmed Assassins. Who Ya? and How you doing ? should return next week. Division 1 Ran out of time to look too in depth at Div 1,  but Vinyls continued their impressive title challenge with a hammering of Charmed Assassins 11-1. There was no answer to their power play ,with Rick and Kieran getting six tons and Huck making a claim for man of the match with 5 checks. A miserable night for the away team...

And that is my excuse for a shortened version of View from the Oche this week. Only two features make it to press and I did not write one of them. Pikey makes his usually incompetent predictions, based on nothing but the vapours of a long finished bottle of Thunderbird and how many holes he has in the soles of his shoes this week. Much more...

A much shortened version this week as I am overseas at the moment. So we have reached the half way point of the season and in this edition of VFTO we have some Captains looking back on their team’s performances in Captain’s Report. All Captains were contacted and thanks to those who responded. The regular venue review sees a rather different version from Brett of The Nomads  and Pikey gives his predictions for games which take place on Tuesday. No match reviews from cup games last week.   Captain’s Report Shrini...

View from the Oche

View from the Oche returns after a week long sabbatical with a slightly abridged version. We have some of the regular features such as Who Are Ya? Pikey Pete and our venue review in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Division 1 After near relegation last season we have seen Ice Blue rise like a phoenix from the ashes and they presently share second place. Even the returning Karl could not help the Tavern in this match as Ice Blue ran out comfortable winners 9-3. The Tavern scored quite well but could not match the checking from the home side,...
