July Highlights The British Lions and Team America won and will face off next Tuesday July 22nd at Paris Texas Bar. They will battle for the innagural World Cup trophy to be presented after the match. Come out and support the British Isles and American teams. Here is the current bracket. The World Cup Pool Play has finished, and the top two teams from each pool have been decided. The British Lions (winner pool A) will play Team Philippines (2nd pool B) at Ice Blue, and Freedom Fries (winner pool B) will play Team America (2nd pool A) at Da Vinci's next Tuesday July 15th. Here is the championship bracket.   The second round of the World Cup has been completed. Here are the standings after the second round.

June Highlights World Cup of Darts Results The first round of pool play is in. Here are the world-cup-standings for each pool. Round 2 is set for Tuesday July 1st @ 7 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come out and support your country. World Cup of Darts Schedule Well, what do ya know....we got a solid field of competition for the 1st annual World Cup of Darts. 8 teams representing a variety of countries have formed to for their respective countries! June 24th World Cup of Darts If you know of any of your players who may be trying to form a team for his/her country, please forward me their e-mail address to Rick (chairman@thesidl.com) so he can send the rules to them. If you are a player looking for other people from your country to play with, please let us know and we can give you a list of their names and e-mail addresses so you can contact them about playing. APRIL Hope you get better! Justin Holmes, 3 in a bed's captain last year and an SIDL member since 2004, was involved in a motorbike accident on Sunday night. He's at the hospital currently, and is doing ok. He should be out in a week. Hope you get better, mate. Apr 29th No darts this Tuesday, April 11th Due to the upcoming holiday, there will be no darts played on Tuesday, April 15th. Here's complete bulletin from Rick... "Due to the Vietnamese holiday, darts will be cancelled next Tuesday April 15th. All matches will be played the following week. A new schedule is attached for the remainder of the season. Captains, please print it out and attach it in your venues over the old schedule. Please note that the 2008 League Cup season will now end on June 10th." Apr 11th Classic matchups on the 1st. MARCH 180 Club Negi and Eng join the 180 club! Congrats! Mar 29 Latin Lounge Jim provided play by play coverage as Kevin and crew swarm on unsuspecting opponents and seize victories. Latin Lovers are 3-1 and at this point seem a sure spot for upper division. This begs the question - who will be relegated? If you wish to submit your own blog or join up, lemme know Mar 19 March 18th Highlights Mabuhay upset! Tie with No Star Where....rumors of transfers were true!...ahh, parity in the league....gotta love it. Close one...Ice Blue pulled out close victory over Really Rottens 7-5. 180 Club - Glen 'Sooty' Wakefield hit a 180! Injury Report - Colin of Mad House suffers pulled groin from extracirricular activities. Mar 19 Games by week added Mar 14 Lee "Quick Check" Dunton threw a 15 dart finish in an epic battle against Charles "Tons Czar" Czarnecki. Mar 14 "No mercy" Percy threw a 180. His team, Alayah, now has beaten the last 3 teams 7-5. If you believe in ying and yang, they should lose the next 3 games 7-5 to create equality in darts world. Get the feeling yang will miss out. Mar 14 Scoring girls trained - start tonight. Please be gentle. They will get better with experience. Committee has decided for each team to have their own scorer. 16th February 2008 Web Updates

There will be a handover of the website taking place this week. I will not be back until late April or early May and it is in the interest of the new committee to have the website near to them so as to keep updates, news and schedule info coming quicker for all members.

Please forgive any hiccups or difficulties over the next 2 weeks while we make the adjustment for you.

29th January 2008 2008 League Cup Starts March 26th

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2008 season. There have been some changes to the SIDL committee since the vote at the AGM. After a very close vote, Rick Horton is the new chairman of the league. He edged out Stephen Guess 23 votes to 20. Along with a new chairman we have 3 other new members.

The league will continue the same format and schedule as last season. The first half of the season every team will play every other team to decide the League Cup champion. The placement of the teams during the first half will decide which division each team will compete in during the second half of the season. As last season, we will continue the same games format.

2 triples matches (best of 1 leg)
3 doubles matches (best of 3 legs)
6 singles matches (best of 3 legs)
1 team match (best of 1 leg)

We will also continue with the same points system as last season.

Win - 3pts.
Draw - 1pt. each team
Lose - 0 pts.


After some discussion of the committee members and several captains, we have decided to move the league start day back one week to February 26th. That will also push back the team registration deadline one week as well to February 19th. Please submit your roster by February 19th so that we have plenty of time to get the first half schedule made and posted/sent out to all players/captains/venue owners. As in years past, players can move/change teams up till the 3rd week of play. This year that will be March 11th. March 11th is also the deadline for teams to pay their league fee.
