16th February 2008 Web Updates
There will be a handover of the website taking place this week. I will not be back until late April or early May and it is in the interest
of the new committee to have the website near to them so as to keep updates, news
and schedule info coming quicker for all members.
Please forgive any hiccups or difficulties over the next 2 weeks while we make the
adjustment for you.

29th January 2008 2008 League Cup Starts March 26th
Hello everyone and welcome to the 2008 season. There have been some changes to the
SIDL committee since the vote at the AGM. After a very close vote, Rick Horton is
the new chairman of the league. He edged out Stephen Guess 23 votes to 20. Along
with a new chairman we have 3 other new members.

The league will continue the same format and schedule as last season. The first
half of the season every team will play every other team to decide the League Cup
champion. The placement of the teams during the first half will decide which division
each team will compete in during the second half of the season. As last season,
we will continue the same games format.
2 triples matches (best of 1 leg)
3 doubles matches (best of 3 legs)
6 singles matches (best of 3 legs)
1 team match (best of 1 leg)
We will also continue with the same points system as last season.
Win - 3pts.
Draw - 1pt. each team
Lose - 0 pts.
After some discussion of the committee members and several captains, we have decided
to move the league start day back one week to February 26th. That will also push
back the team registration deadline one week as well to February 19th. Please submit
your roster by February 19th so that we have plenty of time to get the first half
schedule made and posted/sent out to all players/captains/venue owners. As in years
past, players can move/change teams up till the 3rd week of play. This year that
will be March 11th. March 11th is also the deadline for teams to pay their league
fee.
