Saigon United 11-1 over BNB @ TJ’s
It was business as usual in D10 on Tuesday night as Saigon romped home to another outstanding victory against strong opponents BNB. Saigon only dropped 10 legs over the entire match to maintain their lead at the top of the division by 3 points.
The opening doubles game was a close affair with Duy/Khang only just edging out Mariel/Mark by the odd leg - after this it was plain sailing in smooth waters for the home team. Highlights from the singles were 3-0 wins for Pawel, Duy, Khang and Nhan with Ricky taking BNB’s only point with a nice 3-1 win over Thao.
Despite the result BNB still showed their prowess on the board with notable tons from Mariel (11), Bong (6) and Ricky (5). Mark and Ricky nailed the most doubles with 3 apiece and a huge throw for Vy hitting her first 180 in the league! Saigon had some excellent performances - Guppy matched Mariel with 11 tons, closely followed by Duy (7), Khang (6), Nhan (5) and Pawel (5). Three players took 7/9 doubles - Duy, Nhan & Khang. Duy wasn’t finished there: he also smashed a 180, 17 dart leg and a 101 check! Leaving no doubt who takes the MOTM for this week.
Man of the Match: Duy Nguyen (Saigon) - 3 wins, 7 tons, 180, 7 checks, fast check (17) & high check (101)
Nomads 11-1 over Wizards @ Shooters
The champions matched Saigon’s score and dropped only 6 legs overall in a convincing win at The Home of Darts - to keep up the pressure at the top of the league.
The highlights of the opening doubles round was a Cuong/Tina 3-0 win and a high check finish (83) from Alex of Wizards. Into the singles where Nomads took four 3-0 wins through Melvin, Minh, Adrian and Chad. Wizards’ only win of the evening came from Ron/Richard in the final doubles round taking a 3-2 victory over Tina/Mark.
Wizards struggled in the face of top opposition and only Allan notched up any tons (2) for the road team. Richard was top checker with two. Nomads were in fine form and Cuong hit his 4th 180 of the season and Adrian grabbed his first. Cuong continued scoring well with 15 tons in total helped by Minh (7), Chad (5) and Adrian (4). Cuong continued to dominate with 9 from 9 doubles assisted by Melvin and Chad who took 6 each. Chad also recorded a 19 dart fast check in his singles win.
Man of the Match: Cuong (Nomads) - 3 wins, 15 tons, 180 & 9 checks
Shooters 8-4 over Alayah @ Dailos
Two closely matched sides fought it out in central D1 - and despite an 8-4 win for the road team - the score could have been different with some very close games. However, Shooters managed to turn around two consecutive 10-2 defeats and leapfrog the hosts into 3rd place in the league.
The tie of the first doubles round was Shea/Sam v Alan/Bailey. Finding themselves 2-1 behind the Shooters duo stepped up their scoring allowing them back in the game and Bailey duly poked in two doubles to claim a 3-2 win. The other games were shared giving Shooters the edge going into singles play.
Shooters pushed further ahead taking the first two games. Hiro (3-0) over Sam followed by Kazu taking a memorable win over Shea (3-1) including an 88 high check. Guru pulled Alayah back closer with a 3-0 win over Kabel before Alan claimed the same score over Tuyen. Kieran took down Bailey (3-1) and the round was completed with Jamie’s 3-0 win over Ryan. This guaranteed Shooters a draw with the overall score standing at 6-3. The final doubles round was incredibly tight with all the games finishing 3-2. Alayah could only take one win - in an incredible tussle between Shea/Kieran v Alan/Hiro - Shea eventually nailing the all important winning double.
Kieran and Kazu were undefeated. Kieran and Alan hit 180’s. Shooters took 3 high checks: Hiro (97), Kazu (88) & Bailey (85). Stand-out stats for Alayah were: Shea 13&5, Kieran 9&6 and Guru 6&5. For Shooters: Alan 8&6, Bailey 8&5 and Hiro 7&6.
Man of the Match: Kieran (Alayah) - 3 wins, 9 tons, 180 & 6 checks
Thao Dien Raiders 7-5 over Those Guys @ Malt South
Both teams were short-handed for this tie but a close battle ensued never the less. Not for the first time this season TG managed to take most of their points in the doubles rounds but came up short in singles play - allowing Raiders to take the victory.
Paul and Tom (Raiders) both played twice in the singles round and they grabbed 4 x 3-0 victories! This was more than enough to take the singles round and Josh sandwiched in a good 3-1 win over Alan - taking a 20 dart leg in the process - to cement their singles dominance. Peter (TG) securing his own 3-0 over Squancy to take their only singles win. 6-3 Raiders.
TG rallied to take 2 of the final doubles resulting in the final score of 7-5 in Raiders’ favour. The home team hit hard through Peter and Alan with 20 tons between them, Leon produced 6. Peter also nailed a 180 and 8/9 on the doubles. Although only playing with 4, Raiders hit 29 tons overall - Paul (13), Josh (8), Squancy (7) and Tom (1). Paul was top checker with 6. In all of his ‘official’ games Peter did not drop a leg and he takes MOTM for his efforts.
Man of the Match: Peter Knight (Those Guys) - 3 wins, 11 tons, 180 & 8 checks

Headlines: An upset turns the Table around a bit, while Crazy Hangover solidifies their top spot with another strong win.
Wild Darts, sitting bottom of the League after 4 matches (though they had to forfeit week 1), surprised 2nd place Pinoy with a big road victory. A new look Baz moved into 3rd place, while Madhouse had a bye. With 5 games played by everyone, Hangover sits clear at the top of the table, 3 points ahead of Pinoy. Just 3 points separates the other 5 teams below.

Wild Darts 8-4 over Pinoy Patriots @DTwo Sports Pub
One week after turning in a disappointing team performance at home vs. L.S.D., Wild Darts rebounded on the road in a big way, in taking down one of the League's joint top teams. The win was the first in the League for the new team, and transpired despite having just 5 players on the night.
All the opening matches were competitive, finishing 2-1, but Pinoy struck first in Doubles with a couple checks from Freddie. But WD came back to edge the other 2 (g'darts from Stephen, Lily and KC), in what would prove to be a harbinger of the night's outcome. To open Singles, Stephen continued with the hot hand, adding to his opening 2 Doubles checkouts by winning 2 zero over Freddie. Soon after, visiting Captain Lily won a close match against Khen, though PP had won 2 Singles via Richard and Jan Ray. With the score teeter-tottering at 4-3 in favor of WD, Hien and Lily claimed the last 2 Singles to take control of the match. (Lily being chosen to play -- uncredited of course in the stats -- as the recycled 'clone' player certainly raises eyebrows; I smell a challenge in there somewhere)
Backs against the wall to escape with a draw, PP would go on to win one more point through Ozzy and Amante, but the visiting team snatched all 3 points that mattered when KC checked twice quickly, alongside Lily, to defeat Joren and Jan Ray. An impressive team win for the 5 traveling players, with a balanced attack. Hien and Stephen each nailed 4 checkouts and a ton.
Woman of the Match: WD's Lily (4 wins -- twice in Singles -- with 4 tons and 2 checks 'officially')
Crazy Hangover 9-3 over D2 Dartaholics @Hangover
League leaders CH showed their class at home in a smooth victory. Dartaholics were missing their hot hand -- and top-ranked Div2 player -- Geordie, so the team had to worry it might be a long night at the ochre. After divvying up the first Doubles, CH took a 2-1 lead into Singles, where they proceeded to take the match by the scruff of the neck: KK, Mr. 8, Hung and Sinh recorded wins (Travis and Sheep Shagger Tom winning for the visitors). This meant the home team needed just one more Win to take the match; but they got carried away with themselves and decided to sweep all 3.
Some good darts by Dartaholics in a losing effort though, Travis with 3 tons & 4 checks, Huy Ha with 2 & 3, and Sheep Shagger providing 3 checks. SCH displayed a balanced attack, with 6 players checking out at least twice. Standouts for the winners included Byrd Koh ( 3 tons -- with a 180! -- 3 checks), Hung (1 ton 5 checks) and Mr. 8 (3 & 4 stats).
Man of the Match: Byrd Koh (CH)
Baz 9-3 over LSD @Capone’s
A very strong Baz lineup showed what can happen when they get a couple good players firing in unison. After LSD took the opening Doubles game, it was pretty much all BAZ from then onwards. Going into the Singles with a 2-1 lead, they took control of the match after quite a long journey from the south. Donald, Mario, Marc and Tara swept the first 4 Singles matches, with only Rusty getting a check in edgewise for the home team. This was also when BAZ players really caught fire with strings of tons, most notably through Donald and Marc.
Despite Captain Dan and Poul winning the last 2 Singles for LSD, it was still a longshot for the home team to take anything from the night. Indeed, the last 3 Singles were all BAZ. A good win brought Baz to 3rd in the table, but a tough night at Capone's for LSD as they didn't build on last week's winning momentum. Among the big scorers for BAZ were Tara and Mario, each contributing 3 wins, 2 tons and 5 checks.
Man of the Match: BAZ's Marc Marcelo (3 Wins, 5 tons, 5 checks)
